  how many times did you hear that?

  it wasn't until i read with disbelief no room for george's pitiful statement about being proud to be a jw did i start to think of a simple of way of discrediting the jws... it needed a simple scriptural phrase that causes them to shoot their own foot!.

  so - how many different ways can you think of where jws have "gone beyond the things written"?.

  i have long had an idea that i think is a very powerful tool in reaching even hard-nosed jw's.. .

  it would consist only of actual photographic scans of various documents, articles, photographs such as these from marvin shilmer's blog: (see next panel).

  there would be no extraneous non-official text whatsoever.. it would be published the size of an old life magazine and sent anonymously to jw's at their homes.. the cover would clearly contain the words: "all contents originally published by watchtower bible &tract society".

  I like the idea of mailing them but if you want to reach young people with their smart phones, just post them on the internet somewhere and then generate QR Codes (aka "tags") for them. Send the codes anonymously to any young JW you know and/or post them on pro-JW discussion boards and FB groups.

  Kids with a smart phone and code reader are going to click 'em, just to see where they lead.

  Confusing messages at DC

  okay i know everyone has probably already attended the dc and have posted their experiences here, but i just went to fri. and sat.

  session (with a drama although timely for families i thought would never end) and a couple of bizarre things stood out.. very poor attempt at explaining the overlapping gen. new light.

  during the brother's talk he said" there are two phases to the overlapping generations".

  They don't REALLY want JWs to pay down their credit cards so they can "simplify their lives" and do more service. They want the cards paid down so they can DONATE MORE to the BORG HQ. They'll do the service anyway, whether they're broke or wealthy, because the motivator for it is fear and guilt.

  As for the overlapping thing, nobody can really explain it well because it makes NO SENSE.

  Were you there Sunday for "the toes" of Daniel's image? Talk about a debacle!

  If there was a one in a million chance that I'm wrong and the Borg was right, I'd be right back in there.

  But there isn't. I don't know everything. I don't even know a lot. But I know this: The Borg is wrong. They are wrong doctrinally and they are wrong in how they treat their fellow human beings. What they do should be criminal. Some day I hope it will be.

  i think you have coined an excellent term that could be used with great benefit in attacking the organization.

  'jehovah's witnesses in name only'.

  this arrogant bunch need their organization-god exposed as the fraud that it is.
